Yes, I’ve been AWOL for the past month and I am sorry. I promise I haven’t flaked out! I’ve just had a lot on my plate that has required my attention. One of those items has been the 2010 HR Florida Conference & Expo. If you haven’t checked it out yet, what are you waiting for? I am very confident that this year’s conference will prove to be one of the best.
Pre-Conference
Each year HR Florida offers a variety of certified workshop the day before the conference begins. This year is no exception. In fact, the number of pre-conference sessions this year has increased. With speakers like Patricia Mathews, Carrie Cherveny, Franny Oxford, William Tincup and Robert Prescott, I am positive you will not be disappointed! Each of the pre-conference sessions has been pre-approved for credit by the HR Certification Institute. Check out the pre-conference sessions now!
Master’s Series
Much like the pre-conference sessions, HR Florida also offers a master’s series of workshops throughout the conference. This year expand your horizons by attending sessions by Ron Pilenzo, John Spence and David Ulrich. Capitalize on these high level sessions and bring the knowledge back to your organizations. All three master’s series sessions have been pre-approved for credit by the HR Certification Institute. Check out the master’s series sessions now!
Concurrent Sessions
A sneak preview is now available for concurrent sessions. As we work diligently to update our website with session details, presenter biographies and certification information, make sure to check out a listing of all presenters and sessions. Stay tuned to the HR Florida website, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn for further announcements in the near future!
SHRM Special Session
This year we have a great opportunity for attendees courtesy of SHRM. Florida has been selected as one of ten states to pilot SHRM’s new state of the art member advocacy program to take the HRVoice to another level. Mike Aitken, Director of Governmental Affairs and Robert Carragher, Manager of Government Relations will be on hand to present an informative two our session on Workplace Public Policy. Don’t miss it! Check out the SHRM Special Session now!
Key Note Speakers
Seriously, what a year this will be. Henry Winkler, China Miner Gorman and Robin Koval. Be ready for some informative and engaging sessions from these well-known public figures.
Social Media
By far one of the most exciting things, in my opinion (yes, I am a huge geek), will be the presence of some of the most influential members of the human resource/social media movement. Not only will there be a highly interactive session featuring a panel of HR bloggers, HR Florida will also be hosting a TweetUP with special guest China Miner Gorman. A few other social media goodies are in the works but you will have to stay tuned for more details!
Last but not least, the official hash tag for the 2010 HR Florida Conference & Expo is #HRFL10. Tweet away!
